It's a challenge for Australia to break new ground.

The top summits have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are what's still available for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

Those words will be the final thing competing nations at this World Cup should hear.

During the last week a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.
