Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving

The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the official release, "A strange confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.

The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Changes

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

This humorous quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature skills: Naoe reveals a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also features a new environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.

Past Japanese Animation Crossovers

This signifies not the first time the Assassin's Creed franchise has crossed over with popular anime franchises. The series earlier featured a 2020 crossover story linking Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga. Additionally, Valhalla unofficially contained a quest that obviously echoed the popular series One-Punch Man.
